The 65 acres of ALR farmland lies between the Koksilah and Cowichan Rivers and is a 3 minute drive from the Trans Canada Highway. This exceptionally productive land has good exposure, plentiful water, and a convenient location for farmers and restaurants on the island. A creek divides the property into a 22 acre parcel and a 43 acre parcel.
The Bradbury family has owned this farmland for over forty years and feel strongly that it should always contribute to our Island’s sustainable food system. Manna Farm, an organic farmer providing CSA boxes to mid-Islanders, is currently an ideal tenant producing livestock and produce on one section of the allotment. Other sections are still available for lease to similar organizations seeking to be responsible shepherds of this exceptional growing land.
