Events at the Fort Common

A blank slate, this 3,000 sq ft urban outdoor venue is perfect for events large and small, including weddings, family reunions, corporate retreats and meetings.

 

Weddings

We are pleased to welcome couples for their special day on Saturdays during our summer season May to September. Wedding bookings include private access to the Fort Common between 10:00am and 11:59pm on the reserved date.

 
 

Other Events

The Fort Common is a unique venue fit for all celebrations, corporate events and other gatherings. We offer bookings of up to 5 hours on select Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday evenings. Inquire for more information.

Urban Venue

The Fort Common is an urban outdoor venue open to the public May to September.

This revitalized brick carriage courtyard is located in the heart of downtown Victoria, on the corner of Fort and Blanshard and is open to the public for both booked events & day-to-day gatherings.

Discover the Fort Common down the alley between Be Love and Starbucks at 1019 Blanshard Street.

  • “There aren’t many venues in Victoria that have the laidback, urban industrial vibe that the Fort Common has. It truly is Victoria’s hidden gem. We booked the Fort Common the same night we got engaged because we couldn’t wait to secure our dream venue.”

We had both our ceremony and reception (100 guests) at the Fort Common, and the space looked phenomenal set up for both events. We worked with The Good Party, so the coordination, set up and tear down was all taken care of. The space looks great on its own, but it can really be made into magic with your own design and personal touches. We knew the venue would be perfect for us from the beginning... It’s important to note that there are limited facilities, especially for catering, but with good planning, it’s manageable. Additionally, figuring out the SOCAN/REDSOUND fees and licensing is confusing as this your responsibility. But with some help from my wedding planner and SOCAN we were able to figure it out. FC were kind enough to let us store items overnight in the bike locker, which was a huge help. We couldn’t be happier with our experience at The Fort Common!”
